Owner: University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center
Category: Parks & Monuments, Educational

Architect: Elliott & Associates
Contract Amount: $2 - $5 Million
Project Completion: September, 2002
Primary Use: Campus Garden and Fountains

In an attempt to create a more campus like environment at the Health Sciences Center, The University of Oklahoma decided to put a park like feature where two blocks of Stanton L, Young Boulevard used to sit. Lippert Bros., Inc. was awarded the contract and began by closing and removing the street. The area, which now resembles a college library lawn, was adorned with brick paver and granite screening walks, plazas, a bubbler water feature, a water wall, clock tower, two masonry gates and a Seed Sower Statue. The centerpiece of the walk is the black granite seven steps fountain which provides a serene place for students and faculty to gather and enjoy the outdoors.
